About Me
I’m David John Harrington — a lifelong public servant, coach, artist, and someone who has never been very good at staying silent when truth matters. I was raised in a small-town culture where showing up for people wasn’t optional — it was who you were. That mindset shaped everything I became, from First Responder to mentor to storyteller.
Over the years I’ve learned that experience is only valuable if you’re willing to share it. This space is where I do that. Some of what you’ll find here is hard-earned, some reflective, some creative — but all of it is real. I believe in accountability, conscience, and the idea that character is revealed when life gets uncomfortable.
Writing One-Little-Slip was never about revenge or attention. It was about record, memory, and making sense of a road I never expected to travel. I’m also an artist at heart, so whether through words, images, or conversation, creating something meaningful has always been how I move forward.
I’m still the same guy who coached kids to compete, protected what needed protecting, and now chooses to tell the story openly. If my experiences help someone think deeper, stand firmer, or simply feel less alone — then putting it all out here was worth it.
Welcome to the journey!
